How do injectables and dermal fillers/facial fillers work?

Injections of Botox and Dysport relax the muscles where they’ve been administered. Over time, they can reduce the appearance of wrinkles – especially around the eyes and on the forehead.

Juvederm, Restylane, and Radiesse are facial or dermal fillers that “fill in” deeper, more prominent folds that come with aging. Typically, Dr. Wright will inject these products in the nasolabial folds (the parentheses around your mouth). These products can also be used to create fuller lips, higher cheekbones, etc.

How long do injectables and dermal fillers/facial fillers last?

Botox and Dysport treatments generally last between 4 and 6 months, while the fillers will last between 6 and 12 months, or longer depending on the site of the injections.
