Breast Reductions
Dr. Wright specializes in breast reduction surgery to help patients – at any age from adolescence and beyond – who are dealing with the discomfort and other issues that come with breasts that are too large.
A breast reduction removes extra breast fat, glandular tissue, and skin to reduce the size of the breast and lift the breast up at the same time.
Could a breast reduction be right for you?
Breast reduction surgery might be a good choice for you if you find that your breasts are too large for your frame, or if you experience back, neck or shoulder pain, or rashes underneath your breasts. Dr. Wright will talk with you in detail and answer your questions so you can make an informed decision before moving forward.
What can you expect before, during and after breast reduction surgery?
Dr. Wright performs breast reduction surgeries in hospitals’ operating suites, and you can expect to go home the same day. In this type of procedure, drains are typically NOT used. Dr. Wright will see you to check your progress two weeks after surgery. He’ll also ask you to schedule follow-up appointments one and six months out so he can make sure you’re continuing to do well.
Provided you meet their criteria, insurance companies will usually pay for breast reduction surgery. Dr. Wright will submit the proper paperwork to your insurance company to determine if you’ll be eligible for coverage.
